The Polity Editorial Team

The Northeastern Political Association’s editorial team for Polity has the following co-Editors-in-Chief who conduct and oversee all journal operations:

— Alyson Cole, Professor of Political Science at Queens College and the CUNY Graduate Center
— Robyn Marasco, Associate Professor of Political Science at Hunter College and the CUNY Graduate Center
— Charles Tien, Professor of Political Science at Hunter College and the CUNY Graduate Center

This editorial team started its five-year term on July 1, 2020.

Conditions permitting, the current editors will hold a formal event at the NPSA conference to give all interested scholars an opportunity to meet the editorial team and attend a Polity panel.

Statement from the current editors

“We are honored to have been selected as co-editors of Polity and are fully committed to continuing the work of our predecessors in producing a leading journal of political science. We look forward to publishing high-quality and high-impact research that speaks across the subfields.  Our aim is to produce a journal that reflects the richness and diversity of the discipline, in terms of topics, methodologies, and perspectives. We also hope that Polity can provide a forum for political scientists to address matters of general public interest and importance. We invite submissions from scholars seeking to innovate on methods and approaches in the study of politics. We are eager and excited to contribute to charting new directions in the discipline.”

Starting July 1, 2020 @PolityalsBeruf  became the active Twitter account for the journal.

The previous Polity team included Editor-in Chief Roger Karapin, Professor of Political Science at the Graduate Center and Hunter College, and Associate Editor, Leonard Feldman, Associate Professor of Political Science at the Graduate Center and Hunter College. We are grateful for their excellent five years of service to the journal.
